Salesforce and NetSuite agreeing, and GST ready invoices
Records failed to sync often enough that finance kept a correction list, and the India entity needed invoices that meet GST rules.
Sync failures by cause
Fixed at the source, not reprocessedWhat was broken
Accounts, addresses and billing contacts failed to sync between Salesforce and NetSuite often enough that finance kept a manual correction list. The usual causes were duplicate client id mappings, missing subsidiary values and absent email addresses, each one blocking a record silently. The India entity also needed invoices meeting GST requirements, where which tax columns appear depends on whether a transaction is intra state or inter state.
What runs now
We worked through the failure categories and fixed each at the source, then built Advanced PDF templates that produce compliant invoices directly from NetSuite.
- Mapping conflicts, missing subsidiaries and absent emails fixed at source
- CGST and SGST for intra state, IGST for inter state, shown conditionally
- Buyer PAN derived from the GSTIN inside the template
- Purchase order tax calculation corrected
- Reporting roles deployed through SDF rather than configured by hand
One flow, end to end.
The path a record takes from Salesforce to a posted invoice, with the checks that stop it failing silently.
Finance stopped keeping a correction list, and India invoices stopped needing a second pass.
